Beam Oceana Terminals servicing all sectors
From August 1st, 2015 all Oceana terminals (400s and 800s) will be able to operate using any standard GSPS, IsatPhone Link and FleetPhone SIM cards.
“We (BEAM) want to assist the channel in making these products less confusing. Being able to use either a FleetPhone, IsatPhone Link or GSPS SIM card in the device, it will allow customers to choose the products they want with the Inmarsat service plan that best suits their needs. Making life easier for everyone!”, said Reiny Gajewski, Vice President Global Sales.
Removing the profiling of the SIM will make it more attractive to customers as it will allow them to utilize the terminals in different market sectors and experience the communication and support features the Oceana terminals have to offer.
In light of this change Beam has reduced its pricing on the Oceana range and the Terra range has now gone end-of-life (EOL). The comparison chart below outlines the minimal difference between the Terra and Oceana terminals therefore continuing the Oceana range which covers all features of the Terra PLUS MORE is better value for the end user.
